Crazy People stamp

Description

Since my “Common Sense” stamp ( [link] ) has been so popular I thought I’d post the other one that went with it. Inspired by that quote, in that movie. ;)

More of my stamps here: [link]

Illustrations of why this stamp was necessary:
Me: “Have you used a liquid antibiotic like this one before?”
Client: “Yes. It goes in the ears, right?”
Me: “No, it’s for the ears but it goes in the dog’s mouth.”
Client: *nods* “Can you mix it with cheese?”
Me: *slightly confused* “Cheese? It’s a liquid so I’m not sure how well it would mix with cheese…”
Client: “Well, it would be with those slices of really soft cheese.”
Me: *still confused* “Most dogs don’t have trouble taking this. I don’t see…”
Client: “I heard that with people it’s not good to mix antibiotics and cheese because it would cause the antibiotic not to work right.”
Me: “Since the medications are virtually the same it’s probably not wise to mix it with cheese.”
Client: “Good point.”

A woman made an appointment for one of her dogs to get scabs on its skin looked at. When she came in she not only brought the dog but also her four children (one of which was in a huge stroller) and their other dog. She wanted to weigh the other dog too, which was fine but we have very small exam rooms. We squeezed in somehow.
One of the first things she asks me after we settle into the appointment is: “Are vomiting, diarrhea, and urinating in the house signs of old age in dogs?” Now, I can plainly see the scabs on the dog but she continued to tell me things; like she had thought twice last week the dog had died. After we went through some things I asked about the scabs. Her reaction was; “Oh it had a bad case of fleas but we got some medicine and fixed that. It’s better than it was.” I was baffled as to why she made the appointment for skin issues if she didn’t want to talk about them, but we moved on. During the middle of the appointment one of her sons had to use the restroom. I directed them to it, and because the exam room is next to the lobby, when the woman leaned out of the room to direct her son she paused to ask people in the lobby about their dogs!!
At that point I wanted to say something like; “Eyes back on me please. Lets show a little focus.” But I’m too nice. ;P
